UniVerse ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect via our mobile application and website, how it is used, and the third-party services we rely on.

• Account Information: We collect your email address, username, full name, and university information to create your profile and verify your student status. We do not collect phone numbers.
• User Content: Any photos, videos, comments, stories, or messages you explicitly post or upload to the platform.
• Device Information: We collect device identifiers (such as Android ID or Advertising ID) to facilitate app functionality, improve performance, and serve relevant advertisements.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the UniVerse app service.
• To facilitate social interactions, campus marketplaces, and anonymous confessions.
• To display personalized advertisements via Google AdMob.
• To analyze usage trends using Google Analytics for Firebase.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate our app. These partners may collect and process data according to their own privacy policies:

• Supabase: Used for secure user authentication and database storage.
• Google AdMob: Used to display advertisements. AdMob may use device identifiers to personalize ads.
• Google Firebase: Used for push notifications and usage analytics.

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide our services. You have full control over your information:

• In-App Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data instantly via the "Delete Account" option in your Profile Settings.
• Web Request: If you can no longer access the app, you may request account and data deletion via the inquiry form below. We will process your request within 7 business days.
• Scope: Upon deletion, your profile, UniCoins, and private messages are permanently purged. Public stories or feed posts may be cached briefly but will be inaccessible to other users.

Children's Privacy

UniVerse is designed for university students and is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover a user is under 13, we will delete their account immediately.
