"Is the class holding today?"
"Who has the handout?"
"Admin, add my friend please."

If you are a Nigerian university student, you know these messages. You probably have 15 different WhatsApp groups—one for your department, one for your level, one for your hostel, and five others that are just full of stickers and spam.

I experienced this firsthand as a student at UDUS. We rely so heavily on information, yet the tools we use to communicate are broken. WhatsApp groups get full or spammy. Twitter (X) is too broad and noisy. Facebook feels outdated.

We needed a space that was actually ours. A space built specifically for the Nigerian campus experience.

So, Team DR BTK built UniVerse.

What is UniVerse?

UniVerse isn't just another social media app. It is a campus-centered platform. When you join, you don't just enter a global void; you enter your specific university community.

Here is how we are doing it differently:

The "Team DR BTK" Mission

I just graduated from UDUS (Class of '25), and looking back, I realize how much easier my life would have been if I could easily connect with students from other departments.

That is why we are launching the Early Access Pilot. We aren't backed by millions of dollars; we are backed by code and passion.

Join the Pilot

We are currently rolling out the APK for Android users. If you are tired of the noise and want to see what a social network built for YOU looks like, give it a try.

This is just the beginning. We are pushing updates weekly, and we want your feedback to shape the future of this platform.

Welcome to your new Universe. 🚀
